I photographed the Lake Hotel wedding of Ros and Fraser on a lovely October day at the Port of Menteith in the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Stirling.
It’s a wonderful setting for a relaxed and informal wedding, right on the edge of the Lake (Scotland’s only one apparently!) with fabulous views up to Ben Lomond and framed by the Menteith Hills.
Ros and Fraser made the most of all that the place has to offer with a very moving and intimate ceremony in the historic Port Kirk before stepping across the road to the hotel. The reception was in the cosy bar and for those wanting a blast of fresh air, on the lawn by the water.
It was a real treat to move through to the dining room to photograph the meal as the light and space was perfect for pictures – as were the faces of the guests reacting to some great speeches! The dining room looks west across the water with windows running it’s entire length – flooding the space with a wonderful afternoon autumn glow.
KIND WORDS FROM ROS AND FRASER
We absolutely love the photographs, they are exactly what we wanted, very natural and they really express the relaxed feel of the day. We really could not be happier! I think Fraser’s mum has done nothing but look at them since she got the link!
