NATALIE & JOHN’S BEAUTIFUL WEDDING IN GLASGOW
I was thrilled to get the call to be Natalie and John’s House for an Art Lover wedding photographer. It’s the most beautiful of spaces to work in with the dramatic contrast between the Hall and the Music Room.
The Hall has it’s high ceiling, dark panelling and huge north facing windows while the Music Room is all white with south facing windows and a bright open terrace. Moving from the dark hall into the bright music room triggers a sharp intake of breath every time. Well, it does for me anyway!
Beautiful Architecture and stunning light
So with the familiar promise of such a great venue, I was very excited by the prospect of the day ahead. The damp and overcast day didn’t spoil the anticipation as I knew Natalie and John would be the perfect couple to work with.
I’ve put together a short photofilm of my favourite images of the day. I hope you enjoy it and look out for the surprise entrance during the reception….

Natalie and her bridesmaids were at Malmaison for their preparations. The time there flew by – as the morning always does! It didn’t seem more than a few minutes before she was walking down the stairs on her dad’s arm. John was nervously waiting in front of the assembled guests.
A reassuring squeeze of the hand and an exchange of glances seemed to put them both at ease. They were relaxed and having fun from that point on.
Its really important for me as a documentary wedding photographer to have no impact on the events of the day. I pride myself on capturing tender moments like these both silently and with respect for the integrity of the moment. It could be so easily spoilt by distracting movements and noise.
