I went to Winton House last spring, on a bright and windy April day for Heather and Neil’s beautiful wedding. I had not photographed a wedding there before but it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the place which seemlessly blends all the grandeur of a historic Scottish castle with the intimacy of the family home it continues to be.
It was a truly memorable day with wonderful speeches and a hugely energetic set of reels! The guests bravely ventured out into the chilly night air for the fireworks, although they didn’t need to go any further than the long drawing room balcony to see the rockets across the loch below. Then it was back into the warmth of the log fires for more dancing and reeling. As I left I had the distinct impression that things weren’t going to slow down until the wee small hours!
If you’re considering a Winton House wedding (or anywhere else for that matter) please don’t hesitate to get in touch to chat through your plans and see if I have your date free.
