Kristen and Hamish travelled to Abbotsford on the banks of the River Tweed all the way from the USA to get married in these historic surroundings. Abbotsford, once the home of Sir Walter Scott, is now under the care of The Abbotsford Trust and still contains all the artifacts and works of art that the family had built up over the centuries. With such a traditionally Scottish setting, the weather decided to follow the customary theme and it poured with rain pretty much all day!
There were a couple of short dry beaks which allowed me to take a couple of short breaks from the documentary coverage and take some portraits of the couple outside (and we did one under umbrellas in a deluge!) – the guests were much more sensible and kept to the shelter of the extraordinary house and beautiful marquee. And as you will see from the pictures, Kristen and Hamish were never going to let the rain dampen all the joy, emotion and celebration of such a wonderful wedding.
KIND WORDS FROM KRISTEN AND HAMISH
Wow. These are beyond anything we could have asked for. They are truly amazing. I have spent all day going through them over and over again. I have no idea how I am going to pick my favorites.
