One Devonshire Gardens Wedding Photography
I love to be asked to photograph a One Devonshire Gardens wedding. It is always a great pleasure for whole host of reasons. Firstly it is down to the fact that the venue is one of Glasgow’s finest. The service and hospitality from the staff is extended to visiting photographers as well as the paying guests!
Wheaten Terrier leads the recessional
Brian and Kerry’s beautiful and bouncy wheaten terrier was a huge part of the day. Above all he added a real sense of fun and a great big helping of the “ahhhh” factor. The dog waited with Brian and his best man for Kerry’s arrival. He led the recessional after the ceremony and then joined the guests at the reception. Having the dog there at the wedding created a great focus for the guests before Kerry arrived. It set up the atmosphere perfectly for the rest of the day.
Relaxed unposed photography captures the real atmosphere
A One Devonshire Gardens wedding will always be an intimate affair. For instance, there isn’t the space to accommodate a huge guest list. The light and space in the building lends itself to a wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere. The guests obviously felt completely at home as soon as they arrived.
Documentary wedding photography at One Devonshire Gardens wedding
The whole vibe of the day suited my reportage style of photography perfectly. I was spoilt for opportunities to capture relaxed emotive moments set in flattering light and beautiful surroundings. As with so many venues, the atmosphere and sophistication of the place can be wonderfully captured naturally. There’s no need for a traditional and overly posed approach to wedding photography.
